Visually dynamic scenic, costume, prop and video design weaves Mexican Goth, Expressionism, abstract painting, and Bauhaus design into a stunning world that straddles both Nazi Germany and 2018 America. Cabaret is directed by Robert Cucuzza, Assistant Professor of Theater Arts, LA Mission College, who has assembled a team of professional artists to work hand-in-hand with students to bring this multidisciplinary production to life. Bessie Award-winning choreographer Stacy Stearns brings years of experience in the New York and Los Angeles dance worlds to create the salty world of the Kit Kat Klub. Actor Mark Lewis (Peter and the Starcatcher) returns to LA Mission to play the lead role, Herr Schultz. Scenic designer Dorothy Hoover returns, as well, bringing her vast experience in visual art and theatre design. Video designer Hsuan-Kwang Hsieh is creating evocative projections to enhance the world with cutting-edge technology. Cabaret promises a powerful story and thrilling theatrical experience.
