Just outside of Anchorage is a vast, glacially-sculpted valley surrounded by towering snow-capped mountains – a hidden gem in a land full of breathtaking destinations. There youll find pristine rivers, wide-open riverbeds, sand dunes, dense forests, and abundant wildlife. Most impressive are the glaciers that seem to be everywhere you look, especially the might Knik Glacier that commands attention at the end of the valley. This is the Alaskan Wilderness!The 20 mile round-trip tour covers a variety of terrain and offers stunning views from all angles. Wildlife encounters are frequent and viewing potential is great. We meet at 9am at the Knik River Public Use Area parking lot where well have a brief orientation, gear-up and hit the trails. Well take multiple stops along the way to see areas of interest or for photo ops. At the halfway point, well break for snacks and scope out the local wildlife. Complimentary cold beverages are available throughout the tour.Well be taking videos and pictures of you and your group along the way and well create a custom video of the tour and email it to you along with the pictures so that you have something to share your experience.
