The haunted history of Winston-Salem is incredible and very unique. The area was originally settled in the mid 1700s as a religious community. It has seen the birth of our nation and the turmoil that has come with it. The 90 minute Historical Ghost Tour that we offer in the West End Historic district will teach you much of the history for the area and the ghost stories that come along with it. Tours meet 15 minutes before the tour begins. We meet in the courtyard area behind the beautiful Rosenbacher House at 848 W. 5th Street in Winston-Salem. This is an outdoor walking tour guided by the eerie glow of candlelight. Our stories will cover the original settlements and their quirky traditions, the Revolutionary War, the birth of tobacco for the area, our superstitions, great fires, tragedies, the last public hanging, disease, and traditional hauntings.
