The classes take place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, June through September.The guided Back-to-Nature tour starts with a brief land session to cover paddling basics the after, participants can choose single kayaks, tandem kayaks or canoes. The group then takes off on a leisurely tour of Rochester’s “Secret Wilderness”, an amazing wetland resembling the Adirondack and Canadian wildernesses. The guide may point out the areas resident swans (Penny and Cobbie) and this year’s brood of cygnets, beavers, muskrats, redwing blackbirds, great blue herons, ospreys and eagles. Tours are conducted on Saturdays and some Sundays, mid-May through October.
