Start your visit in the evening at the Hollywood Highland Center, following your guide on foot down the world famous Hollywood Boulevard. Listen as your guide sharesdetails about the iconic sidewalk stars that make up the “Walk of Fame” while popping into a number of the renowned bars where various Hollywood stars socialized, ate and drank over the years. Some of these hotspots of yesteryear still make an occasional cameo in films and on TV, but your guide will also reveal a number of lesser-known anecdotes, featuring some of the the city’s original Speakeasy owners and a hush-hush “Writer’s Room” that contribute to the unique atmosphere that persists to this day. Along the way you’ll enjoy select drinks and a light snack. You may even spot a celebrity or two during your visit. In addition to the bars visited on the trip, your guide will also point out iconic local buildings and the hotspots where locals hang out in the present day. It’s a great way to help avoid the tourist traps during the rest of your trip, and also an excellent way for locals to see and appreciate Hollywood in a whole new light.
