Tour meets at our shop located in Yountville at 9:30 a.m. You will be greeted by your Tour Guide who will assist you with your bike fit and operation. Following a pre-ride orientation, tour groups generally depart close to 10:00 a.m. Youll ride between 3 to 6 miles to the first wine tasting; Tour Guides typically punctuate any longer biking legs with a pause to enjoy the scenery, take photos and give some background about the vineyard growth cycle or local history, to the degree the group is interested in learning about these topics. At each of the wine tasting visits, your tour guide will introduce you to your Tasting Room Host who will lead you through a tasting flight of wines and discuss any of the wine-making philosophies and practices that are unique to that winery. Tastings generally last about an hour at each winery. After your first tasting, the group will get back on the bikes for another 3 to 6 mile biking leg before arriving at a second winery for a tasting followed by a delicious picnic lunch. Expect a selection of artisan sandwiches, green salad, fresh fruit and assorted nibbles. After lunch, well pedal another 3-6 miles to the third and final wine-tasting stop, which often (though not always) features one of our favorite tasting rooms in the town of Yountville. The tasting rooms we visit not only have great wines, but also offer our guests a personally hosted seated tasting experience – making it a relaxing way to finish the day. After your final tasting, its a short ride back to conclude the bike shop where any wine or retail purchases you made throughout the day will be waiting for you. The Full-Day Tour typically concludes close to 4:00 p.m.Note: Please note that all of our bicycling routes in Napa Valley include significant stretches along Hwy. 29 and/or Silverado Trail. These are the two main thoroughfares in Napa Valley carrying 50mph traffic. Both roadways have a 4-8 foot wide bike lane or shoulder. All participants must be comfortable riding in a bike lane next to traffic lane. Additional I
