Meet your guide, a local art historian and museum educator, on Canyon Road, and kick off the tour with a group discussion about the work on view at a vibrant art gallery. Continue along Canyon Road and take in the historic ambiance and architecture. Youll visit 3-4 more art venues selected to showcase the breadth and depth of artwork on Canyon Road. At each gallery, youll see a different style of art, get local insight into the work on view, and learn tips for interpreting art that you can use in any gallery or museum. Youll also visit a historic site that evokes the atmosphere of old Canyon Road, when it was a dusty, bohemian art colony. Youll finish the tour by 4pm near the end of Canyon Road, so youll still have time to hit some other galleries after the tour, or head to happy hour.
