Your photography tour begins in Asheville where youll meet your tour guide, Josh Aron, who is a local nature photographer. Your will be provided with driving directions and follow your guide caravan-style along the picturesque Blue Ridge Parkway. As you drive along this scenic route youll make several stops along the way at overlooks where youre lessons will commence. Youll learn how to compose and expose breathtaking photos with your digital or film camera of the mountains and surrounding scenery. Enjoy a 2- to 8-mile hike off the parkway where youll break for a snack. You may wish to bring a lunch to eat at Black Balsam Knob, the second highest elevation in the Great Balsam Mountains at over 6,200 Feet.Depending on time, your tour can continue to the top of the mountains following the Art Loeb trail or 2 miles down the road to Grave Yard Falls. If you bring a swimsuit you can even jump in for a quick swim.Please note: access to the Blue Ridge Parkway is seasonal and closures may happen based upon weather conditions.
