Boards are 6 thick and pump up to a solid 18psi, providing a higher level of stiffness than other inflatable boards measuring only 4 to 5 inches in thickness. Unlike fiber glass paddle boards, the inflatable boards are durable and provide worry-free transport (no chipped paint) and use (no more scraped shins).What was the inspiration to start or run this business?Utowana Beach has a passion for active lifestyles and sustainable living. Paddle boarding is the best way to explore the local waterways and Utowana Beach was created to allow anyone, at any skill level, to appreciate the numerous lakes, ponds and rivers of Wisconsin. We want to provide people with equipment to successfully explore nature in large groups or on a relaxing ride alone. We love paddle boarding and a percentage of our paddle board rentals are dedicated to improving local water quality.What do you love most about your job?The best part of running Utowana Beach is knowing that we are providing quality equipment for people to enjoy the waterways in the same way we do. Its rewarding when people who have never paddle boarded before find a new hobby because of our shop. I love when my customers have memorable experiences with their friends and family out in the water on our paddle boards.
