Begin with reviewing the goals of each sailor and also a review of some basic sailing principles from the book “The Complete Sailor”. After the introduction and reviewing safety, you will prepare the boat and sail!The small class size means that all students will receive personal attention and hands-on learning. Everyone will have the chance to pull lines, trim sails, and pilot the boat. Your experienced and patient captain will be by your side the whole time to teach and answer any questions that you may have. Learn about safety on the boat, understanding and finding the wind, how to use the wind to move the boat, tacking and gybing, rules of the waterway and much more.
