To preserve his legacy for all time, the unnamed king recounts his personal tales to his servant who must record each detail precisely under the threat of being skewered and slow-roasted over the king’s fire-pit. So that his memoirs will be conveyed with upmost accuracy, the king reenacts his entire journey that lead to his conquest of the globe, bringing his past to life to reaffirm that his suffering, persistence, and industriousness make him a deserving ruler. Hand-crafted masks bring the myriad of eccentric, absurd characters to life. Written, directed, and produced by Susan Marie Jagosz Set design and scenic art by Andrea Alcantar Props and set construction by Michael Jagosz Costumes by Lucin Chukhadarian _ Susan Marie Jagosz completed a Master’s degree in English from Cal State Northridge where she studied Playwriting in their Creative Writing program.
