Blue lights run in waves along the ceiling, casting a cerulean glow on the coral-shaped installations that divide each booth. Banquettes are wrapped in gray vinyl that gleams like sharkskin, or the seats in Aquamans convertible. The decor reflects the restaurants culinary concept: unique, upscale seafood creations. Specialties include everything from tempura lobster tail wrapped in soy paper to soy braised beef bao sandwiches. But outings to Jellyfish are about more than the food and ambiance. The music program was developed by DJ and longtime Chicago performer Jesse de la Pena. Their elevated attention to detail has attracted some local celebrities to the restaurant, including newscaster Dawn Hasbrouck and Chicago Bulls forward Jimmy Butler.
