Day 1: Depart southern New Hampshire for Quebec. The charm of the walled Old City beckons with its cobblestone streets and historic landmarks. The winter carnival is a delight for outdoor enthusiasts with the ice sculptures, cross country skiing, ice-skating, and party atmosphere. Your home for the next three nights will be close to the gates to the Old City. Tonight we will dine in Old Quebec where we will capture the flavor of Europe. This is one of the closest hotels to the Winter Carnival activities. Tonight entertainment will be included at one of the festival dinner’s (Quebec/Irish entertainment) Dinner Included.Day 2: The day is a free day to enjoy all that Quebec has to offer. Throughout the Old City and on the Plains of Abraham you will find Winter Carnival, parades and activities similar to Mardi Gras in New Orleans. You will find food stands selling Quebec foods and “Caribou” the drink of the carnival. Perhaps you will want to go cross-country skiing, take a toboggan ride, enjoy the ice sculptures, or have a snowball fight. You might want to take a tour of Parliament, or wander the shops of the old city, or perhaps you might want to relax and use the facilities of the hotel. We will offer an option of visiting the ice hotel and snowmobiling this afternoon.Breakfast and Dinner includedDay 3: Today is a day to enjoy all Quebec has to offer. We will offer optional excursions for snow rafting or a day of skiing. If you prefer to stay in Quebec you will find everything from cross country skiing to toboggan rides available. You might even want to engage in building a snow fort on the Planes of Abraham. Your Winter Carnival button will allow you entrance to the many Carnival events. We will visit St. Ann de Beaupre and Montmorency Falls and tour part of the city for those interested in sightseeing. Tonight we will visit one of the many Winter Carnival Parades taking place around the city.
