The Characters: Besides the heroine and the titular nutcracker, audiences meet the Mouse King, nimble flowers, regal fairy queens, and the Sugarplum Fairy. The Score: a masterwork by Tchaikovsky which includes Waltz of the Snowflakes, Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy, a Spanish bolero, and Russian Trepak The Production: Starring dancers from the Pennsylvania Ballet and guest artists from New York City, Jackie Callahan of the Pennsylvania Ballet will be alternating with Lillian DiPiazza, Principal Dancer of The Pennsylvania Ballet as the Sugar Plum Fairy, and dancing as the Cavalier will be Ian Hussey and Aaron Anker of the Pennsylvania Ballet. Additional guest artists include Max Baud, Andre Vytoptov, and Dan Mayo.
