It’s an outstanding achievement, noteworthy not only for its enormous dimensions, complex design and intricate construction, but also for its illustration of mans outstanding ability to overcome the deserts summer sun, the vagaries of a treacherous river, and the extreme hazards of the great heights of the canyon’s sheer walls. This tour includes access to the Visitor Center and historical displays, views from the “interior” base of the dam into the generator room, and the fascinating Hoover Dam Movie. Guests will have ample time to check out the breathtaking views from the Top of the Dam, Lake Mead, the worlds largest man-made lake on the eastern edge of the chasm in Arizona. In addition, guests can walk across the top of the Dam into Arizona offering wonderful photo ops of the new Hoover Dam Bridge. As a bonus, the tour stops at a local park where herds of Big Horn Sheep often come down from the surrounding mountains to gather and graze on the sweet grass.Afterwards, the tour crosses the High Desert of Arizona and visits the inspiring 900-year old Joshua Tree Forest, Eagle Point, and Guano Point where guests have three hours to explore the most beautiful natural locations at the rim of the Grand Canyon. Additionally, guests can have a romantic picnic lunch at the rim, stroll the wooden boardwalk of the Hualapai Ranch Western Town, and see Native American dancing and dwellings.
