Kick back and relax as you partake part in Alaska’s a rich brewing history. Starting from the early explorers of the 18th century through the Gold Rush stampeders, thirsty Alaskans have always sought the brewerys locally made beers. The Alaskan Brewing Company was the first brewery in Juneau since Prohibition and the 67th registered brewery in the country. Alaskan beers reflect many of the same characteristics of beers that were brewed here during the gold rush era. A wide range of ales like the timeless Amber recipe to alder-smoked malts and Sitka spruce tips, Alaskan beers personify Juneaus homegrown brewing history and originality. You’ll receive a brief history of Alaskan Brewing Company and how their beer is made while sampling 3 award-winning beers. Large glass viewing walls open up the original 10-barrel brewing system and the inner workings of the brewery. Finish the tour in the main lobby with an additional 3 samples, including a few rough draft brews only available on tour. Best of all, meet our Brew Crew while sampling their work. Sample our beer! Guests over the age of 21 are welcome to enjoy complimentary samples at the tasting bar, which usually has at least one of the Limited Edition or Rough Draft brews on tap.
