Our Bainbridge Island history and wine tour starts with morning pick-up at your hotel in our eight-passenger Mercedes van. Well board the scenic Bainbridge Island ferry, where well enjoy coffee, tea, and pastries while taking in sweeping views of the Seattle skyline and surrounding mountain ranges.Once on the island, we’ll head to Bloedel Reserve, a nature preserve on the former estate of wealthy Washington lumber family. Enjoy beautifully manicured gardens set among lush forests and visit the French-style mansion. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a delicious upscale picnic lunch or restaurant meal (included in the price of your tour), depending on weather conditions.We’ll begin the afternoon by visiting the powerful Japanese American Exclusion Memorial, a moving tribute to this important historical event. Throughout the drive around the island, your guide will share meaningful historical, geological, and cultural information about the region.The rest of the day is all lighthearted and fun as we explore Bainbridge’s growing wine scene. We’ve carefully curated three island producers for some enjoyable, educational, and unpretentious tastings. After the tastings, there will be an opportunity to explore lovely downtown Bainbridge, filled with shops, galleries, and restaurants.Hotel pick-up/drop-off, ferry fare, park admissions, winery tasting fees, and food and drink are all included.
