Your tour begins at Fishermans Wharf, at 28oo Hyde Street (cross street Beach) next to where the cable car turns around, where youll meet your guide and board your tour bus. Over the next couple of hours, travel through San Franciscos different neighborhoods, admiring its geography, parks, and views of San Francisco Bay as you listen to stories about the city and make stops to take photos. Drive through North Beach, also known as Little Italy, where sidewalk cafes line busy streets; see the markets and souvenir shops of Chinatown; check out where the Summer of Love began in the Haight-Ashbury; pass by the Painted Ladies, known for their appearance in the Full House intro; visit Twin Peaks for a panoramic view of the whole city; and get a glimpse of Pacific Heights, one of the citys most affluent neighborhoods where large homes have excellent views of San Francisco Bay (the house from Mrs. Doubtfire is also here). Then head north across the Golden Gate Bridge to Muir Woods National Monument, where you have an hour to stroll through the grove of ancient redwood trees. Back on the tour bus, continue to Sausalito, a picturesque enclave on the bay where you can purchase lunch (own expense).
