This walking tour starts on the North side of the Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon. Youll then proceed to visit several attractions in Charlestons Historic District, including, but not limited to: the picturesque pastel houses on Rainbow Row; Elliott Street; Poinsett Tavern; the Washington-Heyward House; the DuBose Heyward House; Longitude Lane, one of the original “streets” of the Old Walled City; a white building from 1750 that was built by slaves for slaves, and Stolls Alley, which The New York Times, in 1894, called a dirty, narrow little lane in the lower part of the city. You will also pass by Philadelphia Alley, site of infamous duels, Unity Alley, and McCradys Tavern, where George Washington once dined.Additional InformationConfirmation will be received at time of bookingChildren must be accompanied by an adultA moderate amount of walking is involvedOperates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriatelyInclusionsProfessional guideWalking tourLocal guideSmall-group tourExclusionsGratuities (recommended)Hotel pick-up and drop-offDeparture PointOld Exchange and Provost DungeonDeparture Time9:30am 2:00pm year roundDuration2 hoursReturn DetailsYour tour ends within easy walking distance of the starting point.Voucher InfoYou can present either a paper or an electronic voucher for this activity. The tour identified in this promotion is made available through Viator.
