The Chicago Pilot Experience offers an adventure unlike any other as you are seated in the cockpit with your certified flight Instructor and in control of your own city flight. The experience begins as you arrive at Vertiport Chicago’s world class facility in downtown Chicago, located just minutes from the loop.After check in, your instructor will take you through a 30 minute pre flight review to go over safety and critical instruction points to take control in the air. Once you have been signed out of the pre flight review, you will walk the red carpet out to the tarmac, like a true VIP, where you will pose for a pre flight photo, which will be available for purchase and download to commemorate your experience. Next, you and your instructor will board the Guimbal Cabri G2, a 2 seat helicopter equipped with two sets of controls. You and your instructor will share the cockpit and the controls as you head into your adventure. As you embark into the skyline, your instructor will turn the controls over to you to complete your in flight experience over the city. Imagine the sights of Chicago such as the Willis Tower and Magnificent Mile, not only from above, but from the viewing perspective of a luxurious helicopter cockpit. Don’t forget to take in the skyline as you peak through the windows down below for a truly spectacular view above the city!As an added memory, you will also be able to purchase a special souvenir video of your Chicago Pilot Experience. You can share your adventure with family and friends or just rewatch for fun! The total experience is approximately 1 hour and includes 30 minute pre flight review and instruction and 20-30 minutes in flight. Due to the size and in cockpit set up of the Guimbal Cabri G2 helicopter, the Chicago Pilot Experience can only accommodate one passenger per flight, as the instructor will be sitting alongside you in the second seat.
