To kick off your Coronado tour, you will meet your local guide for an exciting ferry ride across the water! As you journey to the other side of the bay, you will be treated to amazing views of the downtown San Diego skyline and the famed Coronado Bridge. It will be a great time to bust out those cameras!Once you've arrived at Coronado, you and your group will hop aboard local transit and head down Orange Avenue, the main street in town named after the orange trees planted here in the late 19th century. After a short ride you’ll arrive in the main part of town, lined with cafes, shops and restaurants, almost all locally-owned and operated. After this you'll make a quick stop for a snack at a local eatery. It could be something sweet or something savory – depending on our mood – but whichever way we go, it will be locally made and delicious.Take a stroll down to Star Park, where the “Wizard of Oz” house is located and then make your way to Coronado beach, one of the best in the country. On a clear day you can see all the way to Mexico! We’ll stroll by multi-million dollar homes that line Ocean Blvd and you’ll hear about the people who once lived there, including the residents of the historic Spreckels Mansion. The last stop on the tour will take you to the historic Hotel Del Coronado. The hotel is over 125 years old and is considered an American Treasure. Through the years, the hotel has hosted celebrities, dignitaries, and US presidents. Your guide will show you around the grounds of this beautiful Victorian building and share stories of its past. If you aren't ready to head home on the ferry, you can ask your guide for suggestions on what else to see or do because there's no way you could cover it all in one tour!
