This longboard excursion begins at the fountain next to the riverwalk entrance in the French Quarter. Once everyone in the group has arrived, safety equipment and a longboard will be issued to each member of the group. Getting comfortable with the gear includes 15 minutes of lessons and safety guidelines. As soon as each member of the group is ready to begin, the real fun begins. Skate down the river, just past Jackson Square, then cut over to Decatur Street. From there, travel back up Decatur to North Peters and follow that to the starting point at the fountain. Frequent stops are included for pictures throughout the tour, so feel free to halt the group at any point for a photo.
