Every Saturday, our group meets at approximately 10:45 am at Labriola (535 N. Michigan Ave.) back in the private dining room. Check-in here with your guide, get your custom lanyard/badge (good for a few discounts and your first round free at any Goose Island Taproom), then start off with Chicagos best deep-dish pizza. We then board our luxury Pizza Bus, and set out to three different neighborhoods – Lincoln Park, Lakeview and Logan Square – learning about the areas highlights, but also discovering three additional styles of pizza – artisan, Chicagos most popular tavern-style and finally, a New York-style slice. Along the way, youll meet some of the owners and pizza makers, and learn about their history and inspiration for creating their unique pizzas. We return to Labriola no later than 2:30 pm. Tours include guide but not soda or alcoholic beverages. Our doughcents are trained to discuss Chicagos pizza history, and can talk about highlights from the book, Pizza City USA. No one under age 9 please.
