A veteran music supervisor and popular jazz singer and songwriter, Tyrells first album A New Standard spent 90 weeks on the Billboard jazz chart and was his first of 10 Top 5 albums. His career as a singer launched when he appeared in the 1991 movie Father of the Bride. In October, Tyrell released a 21-song extended edition of his 2008 chart-topper Back to Bacharach, an homage to Tyrell’s friend and mentor Burt Bacharach, featuring seven additional Bacharach classics. Tyrell has appeared on The Today Show, The Tonight Show, The Talk, The Late Show with David Letterman, Good Day New York and many more national television shows.
